A 15 metre profile in one piece

For research facilities we produce special profile parts from Kapton polyimide film up to 15 metres long. Parts like these cannot be stamped, and joining several pieces would lose the insulating effect at the seam. They are made with the tool system we developed for folding, forming and bending.

This is what we mean when we say there is no such thing as impossible. These are quantity-of-one jobs where feasibility, not unit price, is the decisive question.

Why polyimide film

Kapton polyimide film withstands continuously high temperatures, stays thin and flexible and keeps its electrical properties under load. In applications with tight space and extreme conditions there is hardly an alternative.

We process the film as cut-to-size sheets, as slit rolls from 4 mm strip width and as folded profiles. Which form is right is settled from your installation situation.

From feasibility talk to finished part

In projects like these the work starts with a technical conversation, not with an order. We check feasibility, propose material and process and document fit, geometry and tolerances in a technical drawing created in our in-house CAD department.
