Stamping
For insulation parts, technical parts and seals, stamped parts are among the widely used solutions. Stamping is a chipless separation process. In this mechanical operation, work can be done either from the roll or from the sheet. The suitable stamping tool plays an important role. Depending on the application, Hauler & Hermann uses the sharp blades of a steel rule tool (knife cut) or specially made solid steel tools with punch and die (shear cut). Alternatively, stamped parts can also be produced by the rotary process. Our experts are happy to advise you on which concept makes the most sense for your application.
On our stamping automats and eccentric presses, many different materials from various renowned manufacturers are processed. We always accommodate our customers' wishes regarding the packaging, delivery and picking of the stamped parts. It is not without reason that Hauler & Hermann is an important and long-standing supplier to many well-known companies in future and key industries.
From tool to series from a single source
The stamping tools are made in our own tool shop on CNC turning, milling and grinding machines. New projects including tooling are implemented within a few weeks, and adjustments during a running project are possible at short notice. We stamp parts up to 1,000 x 2,000 mm as well as small, intricate parts, on request self-adhesive or magazined for automated production lines, for example as phase separators in e-mobility.
Selection criteria for purchasing and design
For a quote we only need a drawing or sample, material or thermal class, tolerance requirements and quantities. We advise on the most economical tooling concept and deliver samples for approval before series production starts. Enquiries reach us via the contact form.

When is a steel rule tool the right choice, when a solid steel tool?
Steel rule tools (knife cut) are inexpensive and quick to make, ideal for samples, small series and large-area parts. Solid steel tools with punch and die (shear cut) offer maximum precision and tool life for tight tolerances and high volumes.
What is rotary die cutting?
In rotary die cutting the material runs continuously from the roll through a rotating tool. The process suits high volumes. Our experts advise which concept makes the most sense for your application.
Which materials are stamped?
Electrical insulation materials of thermal classes B, F, H and C from renowned manufacturers, including pressboard, polyester films, aramid papers, polyimide films and laminates, plus self-adhesive materials and nonwovens.
Are custom packaging and picking available?
Yes. Packaging, delivery and picking follow your specifications, from defined quantities per unit and kit packaging to magazined delivery for automated lines.
