Custom Parts for Demanding Insulation Systems
For particularly demanding insulation systems we produce custom parts.
Not every insulation part can be ordered from a catalogue. When geometry, material or installation situation deviate from the standard, our real speciality begins: custom parts for demanding insulation systems, developed together with you.
Our experts advise you from the first idea and work out the optimal solution concept for your application. There is no such thing as impossible: our ambition is to realise every geometry, angle and shape.
The special tools required for folding and bending electrical insulation are made in our in-house tool shop, which lets us react extremely quickly to individual requirements.
From idea to series part
The starting point is your installation situation, not our machinery. We check feasibility, propose material and process and create the technical drawing with fit, geometry and tolerances in our in-house CAD department. On request we 3D print your geometry to verify the fit on a physical model before tooling. That saves valuable development time.
Prototypes and samples are available from a quantity of 1. Especially for special motors built in small numbers we are the right partner for small series, and implementation including tooling takes only a few weeks.
Manufacturing at Hauler & Hermann
Our expertise lies in folding, forming and bending insulation material so that parts fit like a second skin. Our proprietary folding tool system and in-house tool shop make us independent of tool suppliers. We process sheet insulation of thermal classes B to C, from pressboard to Kapton polyimide film, plus special materials such as prepregs, PEEK films, mica tapes and nonwovens.
Selection criteria for purchasing and design
The earlier we are involved, the more room remains for an economical solution. A sketch or drawing, the installation situation, the required thermal class and a rough quantity estimate are enough to start; everything else we develop together. Describe your application via the contact form and we will get back to you promptly.

Frequently asked questions
What counts as a custom part at Hauler & Hermann?
Any insulation part deviating from standard geometries: complex folded and bent parts, unusual contours, special materials or parts for particular installation situations. For these we develop concept, tooling and production individually.
What is the minimum quantity for custom parts?
A quantity of 1. Prototypes, samples and small series for special motors are an explicit part of our offering, as is later scaling to high-volume production.
How long does developing a custom part take?
Implementation of a project including the required special tools typically takes only a few weeks, thanks to our in-house tool shop with its proprietary folding tool system.
Does Hauler & Hermann support the design phase?
Yes. Our engineers create technical drawings in our in-house CAD department, fit the insulation to your component and, on request, verify the fit on a 3D printed model of your geometry.
Which materials can be processed?
Sheet insulation of thermal classes B, F, H and C as well as special materials such as self-adhesive materials, prepregs, PEEK films, pressboard, mica tapes and nonwovens.
