Insulation Parts and Stampings for Electronics and Lighting
Flexible insulation with excellent electrical properties, stamped into fine parts for electronics, fuel cell stacks and batteries.
Small, thin and still dimensionally stable
Electronics rarely deals with large areas. It deals with small parts at tight tolerances: insulating washers under power semiconductors, separator layers in fuel cell stacks, covers on battery cells and insulation inside luminaire housings. We stamp these parts from Kapton polyimide film and Mylar polyester film, including very thin gauges.
The thinner the material, the more the tool decides the result. Precise solid steel tools from our own tool shop deliver the clean cut edge and the tool life that fine geometries need in series production.
Self-adhesive stampings remove an assembly step
We apply adhesive tapes and stamp fully adhesive materials on our own machines. A self-adhesive stamping replaces a complete assembly step, because positioning and fixing happen in one move.
For automated placement we supply parts magazined in the correct orientation or on rolls, ready to be picked directly by handling systems.
Materials and converting
Kapton polyimide film withstands continuously high temperatures while staying thin and flexible, which makes it the standard for fuel cell stacks, batteries and electronics. Polyester film is the economical choice where thermal demands are more moderate.

How small can stamped insulation parts be?
Fine parts are part of our standard programme. The lower limit depends on material, thickness and geometry. Send us a drawing or sample and we will tell you exactly what is feasible.
Can you supply self-adhesive stampings?
Yes. We apply adhesive tapes and also stamp fully adhesive materials, which removes a complete step from your assembly.
Which material suits fuel cells and batteries?
Usually Kapton polyimide film. It is thin, flexible and permanently temperature resistant. Where thermal demands are lower, polyester film is the more economical option.
Do you also supply slit rolls instead of stampings?
Yes. On six slitting lines we convert films and papers from 23 to 2,000 micrometres, from 4 mm strip width at a tolerance of plus minus 0.1 mm.
