Pressboard
Pressboard is a natural product made from cellulose fibers. Pressboard and pressboard paper have been used for many years as insulation in transformer and electric motor construction.
Pressboard is available in numerous different thicknesses and qualities. The decisive quality characteristics are density, temperature resistance, tensile strength, tear resistance and puncture resistance.
Printed pressboard papers are also used for transformer construction, in this context they are referred to as Diamond Dotted PaperDDP or DPP.
At Hauler & Hermann, pressboard products are available as cut rolls, large formats or as punched and shaped parts.
This international standard distinguishes between thermal classes for electrical insulation systems and electrical insulation materials.
According to the DIN EN 60085 standard, Presspan belongs to insulation class A up to 105°.
